My families’ roots come from the Northeast of America where I was born.
I was brought west to California, and grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area.

After studying art and languages at the University of California at Santa Cruz and graduating from UC Berkeley I spent some time working in Saudi Arabia, then followed a three-year program in Graphic Design study in Germany.

Moving from Germany to New York City in the 80’s I worked as a graphic designer there for 6 years, then moved to London with my partner and continued freelancing as a graphic designer there while beginning to raise a family.

After London, we lived in Maine for four years, then California for 22 years, breaking up our time in California with an interim four years in The Netherlands. In 2021 we  returned to Maine to settle down in the City of Portland.

At this time, I am most inspired by the cliffs, rocks and forests of the North Atlantic coast of the United States, so that is what I am painting.

Please enjoy my artwork, there will be more and different inspirations added as I make them.
